MAYFAIR MAN ENJOYS LIFE IN THE FAST LANE

Bill Bowman is
pretty much your average guy. He's lived in Mayfair his entire life.
He's worked as a maintenance engineer for the past two decades. He
treasures quality time with his lovely wife, Candy, and his five children and
six grandchildren. And on the weekends, the 61-year-old Bowman rides one
of the fastest pro-modified Harley Davidson motorcycles in the nation.
So maybe he isn't your typical grandpa...

Ever wonder how a rider
becomes a racer, a bike becomes a dragster, and a group of mechanical
helpers becomes a team? Well, Bill Bowman, a.k.a. "Billy
Joe," can tell you how, since he just renewed his old passion for
racing. You see, Bowman raced dragsters in the '60's and wanted to
race a Harley again. When the 54-year-old had an opportunity
recently to purchase a '93 Harley-Davidson Sportster, his dream to turn
it into a drag bike began to become a reality.
